Pharmacist or Politician

Had a great conversation with a friend last night about my campaign.

They asked, “If you wanted to get into politics, why did you become a pharmacist?”

The truth is—I didn’t plan on running for office when I became a pharmacist. I chose pharmacy because I wanted to help people, to be of service in my community. That hasn’t changed.

And honestly, I think we already have too many career politicians. Public service was never meant to be a lifelong seat of power—it was meant to be a responsibility, something people step up to do for the good of their community.

I don’t know what the future holds, but I do know this: whether I’m behind the counter at a pharmacy or serving in public office, my goal is the same—to serve with compassion, integrity, and a commitment to making life better for the people around me.
